F.A.Q : Setting
up SSH using PuTTY
Start PuTTY by clicking on putty.exe
Enter Host Name (substituting your own domain name here of
course) and Choose SSH option. Give it a session name of your
choice and then click Save.
Click on SSH to change Protocol settings:
Click on Preferred SSH protocol version 2.
Then click Session to take you back to the opening screen.
Then click Save again .
Finally, click Open to get
started. 
You may get the following screen and if you have entered the
above information correctly, you should reply Yes here.
This will open up your SSH window. Enter your logon id for
your site. Be sure to use the entire logon id with the @ sign. I
will use webplace@1-web-place.com
for my example.
Press ENTER
Here you enter the same password you use to get into your
control panel.
Press ENTER
Voila ! You are there.
