EV1Servers is the
dedicated hosting subsidiary of Everyones Internet, one of America's
few profitable ISPs. From it's beginning in December 1998, Everyones
Internet served the "Value Orientated" segment of the Internet
market. Not by offering a sub-standard product at a low price, but
by offering a top-quality, feature rich product at an incredible
price. EV1 grew from 0 subscribers 12/1/1998 to approximately 4000
in May 1999. The growth continued with EV1 surpassing 55,000 by the
end of 1999 and by surpassing 95,000 accounts with 157,000 unique
users by December 31,2000 and reaching the 200,000 subscriber mark
in the summer of 2002. Their employee base has also grown from 2 in
Jan. 1999 to over 200 in Jan. 2001 and well over 300 as of September
2002. They operate their own network in Texas and maintain dual
POPs in the four major Texas cities. Their network consists of six
Gigabit Ethernet connections to the internet plus one DS-3 and one
OC-3. In short, EV1 is not a lightweight.
On December 22, EV1 made the largest single purchase ever (by an
independent North American ISP) from Cobalt. This order consisted of
almost 700 Cobalt Raq servers (Totaling over US$ 1,000,000), was
shipped complete 12/29/2000, and arrived in their facilities 1/8/2001.

incredible!) By November 2001, when EV1Servers made the move to a
much larger data center, they were ready to spread their wings into
standard Linux hosting. With the addition of Intel and AMD based
systems running Linux and the Ensim and Plesk control panels, our
growth began to accelerate. As of September 2002, they host over 8000
servers and growing.
In the spring of 2002, they entered into a multi year relationship
with Compaq valued at in excess of $20 million. As a result of this
historic agreement, nearly all new servers purchased by EV1Servers
will come from Compaq.
Their support center runs 24/7/365 with live operator support.
Their NOC is manned 24/7, not just monitored 24/7. They have a live human
being (if techs are human) manning this center at all times.
