Netscape Mail FIX!!
How to fix the issue with getting Netscape Messenger to properly
connect to our server for email.
Question:
When setting up Netscape Messenger like I would in say Outlook
Express, I kept on getting an error telling me that I couldn't
authenticate and therefore couldn't connect to receive mail.
Answer:
All you need to do is use a # instead of an @ in the username. (i.e.make
the username user#domain.com). Netscape will stop when it hits the @
sign and will not take the entire user name. Using the # corrects
this problem.
Everything should work correctly with this method, sending,
receiving and it doesn't even require the authentication with this
username setup!
